I have been very negligent about updating my blog. Here are some collages I made during the past year. Would like to be doing more collages but have not been feeling the inspiration lately; hope it returns soon.

The Grand Illusion

La gran ilusión, Antonio Berni, 1962

Antonio Berni was an Argentine painter who painted and thought a lot about the disparity that exists between rich and poor. That juxtaposition is depicted in this picture and in his other work. I saw this original painting at the Museum of Fine Arts and said "wow" when I saw it; it is large and striking with powerful images. More about Berni is here although in Spanish.
